just wanted to say hi to everyone + let everyone know that tomorrow, sunday may 13th is chris' last day before taking off to craig's super duper early monday (waking up at 3am). so in order for chris to take care of final hospital issues and to go to sleep early, we're asking for those that want to visit sunday, please arrive before 3pm. we won't be letting people in after 3pm, so come on by before then! remember, let's all be thinking of chris during his trip early monday morning, sending all the positive energy for him as he starts on his voyage. thank you all for you love + support these 2 weeks, let's keep the blogging going to keep in touch with chris at craig's + hear about what he's up to. i look forward to chris getting online. i will definitely be making a visit out to colorado soon + i will let you all know about it.

well - droppin' by to say hi again before i head off to bed... well today we had a garage sale & I sold a little bit and made about $80... I'm puttin the majority of it towards my "laptop fund" :o) some of it i already spent on a new sketchbook - some drawing utensils & an AMAZING drawing book... i love it! can't wait to show you...well this week, I'm winding down my high school career - can you believe that?! i'm so excited! i guess the principal's holding some people's diplomas becuz he's afraid someone might "pull something" - that's what i heard... haha kinda funny, i think...*** i love this song by Josh Groban - You Raise Me Up - I love to listen to him while I draw - sorry off topic...*** but anyways - i'm sure you've heard this many times - BUT i'm gonna say it anyways! we're thinking about you day & night! and if anyone can do it, it'd be YOU!!! The news that came to me last week about your accident was a shock and bummed me out in a supreme fashion. How is it something like this happens to someone so darned nice and undeserving? I don't get it. Despite the circumstance, I hope all the tremendous support of caring family and friends who are writing and visiting are keeping your spirit and character up to the usual Chris Oberle level.
Sorry I'm not down in LA to visit prior to your trip out to CO. I do have a project under construction out in Denver at the moment and will have several trips over the next few weeks for site observation and substantial completion. I see Craigs Hospital is in Denver, I'm going to try and swing by for a visit if the darned contractor isn't keeping me busy correcting his incorrections. Hopefully you'll be available for visits. It's been too long since we coincidentally ran into each other on the sidewalk in San Francisco.
I am hoping super-dupper crazy hard all your rehab goes smoother than anticipated....and the physical trauma soon goes by the wayside. My thoughts are definitely with you.
Advance apology for my crass humor, but one thing I haven't read in this blog is what the heck happened to your mountain bike? If it's still rideable mind if I borrow it? I'll take excellent care of it, grease the chain and clean the derailleur, gears, the works...I'll even put a little shiny bell on it that goes DING-A-LINGA-DING-DING!!!
I was thinking the other day about that first semester studio we had with Natalie. Remember that time we were in studio and someone comes in and yells, "Cris, your dog's driving away with your truck?" You ran outside to find Bruno had chewed off your stick shift knob and in the process popped your truck out of gear into neutral. Your truck rolled away with Bruno in the driver seat. That was funny stuff.
Enough of my ranting....Take care Chris. I wish you the best on recovery and please keep your determination and spirit up during your rehab.

I keep logging on to this blog everyday, and see all these amazing friends you have write super powerful messages, with love, humour, and tons of positive energy and recourceful information. It is pretty damn amazing! I think you can start your global company any day now. You know the one where you let the connectivity of people work wonders while you chill in some beautiful part of the world with your laptop and your cool renderings and ideas? Ok my friend. just want you to know that you mean very very a lot to me. I know you will do this and I hope you can yell out if there is any point during this next year when you need extra anything so that we can be there for you as much as you are allways there for everyone around you. I will keep on checking this blog for sure but it would be cool if we could get a physical address of where u will be. I like to send oldfashioned snail mail every now and then. Please post it when you get a chance.

Chris's Smile
So Sing Sing & I paid a visit to are dear friend Chris Oberle and what do you know, Chris is dosing off just like he did in wee early hours in studio @ Sci_Arc. But when he finally woke up from his nap, there was the killer smile I always see when I think of Chris. Yes, his attitude is most definitely SUPER positive and you can tell he's been doing his homework on preparing for the journey of recovery he has before him. Anyone who knows Chris, he will pull through this no doubt.
We talked about many things including the architectural competition he's been working on and the ideas and visuals presented on the final panels were amazing and beautiful. The 'Frost wall' he developed is just another example of how brilliant Chris is with his architectural thinking. I believe the jury will decide on the winner the 23rd of May so lets hope for the best for Chris and the Team (Lee + Mundwiler Architects) in a couple of weeks from now. Btw, some of the images + ideas from the competition will be posted soon on this Blog so definitely check it out when it comes.
It was fantastic to meet some new friends that night and to bump into an old friend (what's up Casey!!, give you a call soon enough to catch up in times...Congrats again on your future at Bartlett, I know you will be killing it when your in Europe!). Again, Supa-Dupa THANK YOU to Anna + Rita for all of the updates on Chris's condition. Chris is very very lucky to be surrounded by the love and care both of you have been projecting to him!
We'll be seeing Chris again this Sunday Afternoon before his departure to Colorado the following day and wishing him the very best on this new chapter in his life...Keep the hope alive and keep on Smiling Chris, you've got a lot of people who believe in you and love you!!!

...i was so excited to finally have my OWN car, even tho it was purple-ish...but anyways... i was goin to put a crazy system in it and all this stuff i had planned out for it, we got my system in but didnt do any aftermarket performance ENHANCEMENTS haha but i was satisfied anyways! I was all set on keepin up how well my gpa took care of it and i did pretty good for, o somewheres around a month before i realized it was stupid cuz i go down a dirt road at least 4 times a day! i then realized that my sub rattled pretty much every screw loose in the car and nearly knocked off my rear view mirror. So i started carrying a little screwdriver with me so i could put stuff back on!......
Im starting to get to the good action part of my story so u have to youll have to read on tomorrow!

If Nadine is busy too, I'm coming anyway and will cheerlead in the hallways :)

When we saw Toni, Karina and Jai, Jai had his right shoe on his left foot, and his left shoe on his right foot. He said "bye" to us when we left! He's soooo cute!

Well i sure hope ur feelin good because you are about to embark on a magical journey into my life with my cars:D haha
Chapter 1
We are looking for a car for me cuz i just had an URGE to drive my own car everywhere so i didnt have to pull up somewhere and wave goodbye to my mom! Im sure u know how embarrassing that is when your a teenager...so anyways, my grandpa has a 1996 Mitsubishi Eclipse and he is wanting a "work truck". He took such good care of his car that im surprised he didnt rub the paint off from washing and waxing it so much! But the poor car didnt see what was comming when the keys reached my palm....
I hope u like the beginning of my story, im gunna try to post everyday so hopefully in a couple weeks youll be up to date with my car problems, without having to read the whole thing in one post....i just thought id make it intersting! haha well i hope you get to feelin better!!

It was great everyone just hanging out in there, chattin, and then FINALLY all the beautiful women stopped rubbing Chris' feet and left so the MEN could talk about big important things...you know...uh..right.
I'm SO PUMPED about your insurance giving you the thumbs up for Colorado. So what if the people you'll be rehabing with are athletes. SO ARE YOU. You have the energy of a bear, that has the energy of two bears! Bruno's pumped too, he misses you already, he's like "wtf? Where's Chris? He's the only one who can stand my breath!" WE JUST FOUND OUT THAT CHRIS HAS BEEN ACCEPTED AT CRAIG'S HOSPITAL IN COLORADO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it appears as though his insurance will be able to cover his Rehab so he will be leaving this MONDAY, MAY 14 to start on his courageous path to recovery! we are all overjoyed at the news!!!!!!!!! COME VISIT HIM IN THE HOSPITAL SOON!!
